Mariah Chase is a leading fashion, retail and digital commerce executive, and has served since late 2013 as the CEO of ELOQUII, the pioneering e-commerce destination for contemporary fast fashion in sizes 14 to 28. The strategies Mariah is leading include championing broad-ranging efforts to capitalize on digital and social media to engage with customers, as well as innovative data-based marketing strategies, to create a fashion destination and community for this deeply underserved customer – who comprises 65% of the American apparel market ($21 billion annually). In October 2018, ELOQUII was acquired by Walmart, the world’s largest brick-and-mortar retailer. This acquisition will allow ELOQUII to leverage Walmart’s scale to continue to drive disruption and move fashion forward beyond a size 12.
Before ELOQUII, Mariah co-founded Send the Trend, an e-commerce site for fashion accessories and prestige beauty items that was acquired by QVC in 2012. There she worked across all aspects of the end-to-end customer experience, partnering with Send the Trend’s head of technology and QVC’s leadership to lead the post-acquisition integration. Prior to that, Mariah was President of Kara Ross New York and the SVP of Fashion at Designers Management Agency. From 2008 – 2012, she also managed Christian Siriano. Over the course of her career, Mariah has raised over $40 million in equity from top tier venture capitalists and investors across multiple businesses. Mariah is a frequent commentator on the plus-size market, appearing on CNBC and Cheddar, as well as Bloomberg and others, and has spoken at several recent retail conferences, including ShopTalk and WWD Digital. Mariah graduated from Harvard University.
